Radio frequency transmitters, or more commonly known as RF transmitters, are one of the greatest devices brought up by technology. Radio frequency is currently used in many companies in providing different services. RF system is radio stations in order for us to hear music and news on our radios. Even remote controlled toys, appliances, and many other electronic gadgets use RF transmitters and receivers to pass or receive commands. RF technology has even been acquired by the mobile phones of today! The technology though, is more commonly known as Bluetooth. As of now, RF technology has already soared up to greater heights, as it plays a very important role in the Global Positioning System or GPS. An RF transmitter passes information to a receiver by means of transferring signals in a higher range in terms of frequency. It works like a microwave transmitter found in gadgets that use microwaves in some ways, but they are actually not the exactly the same.

SHORT RANGED

RF transmitters with low transmission capacity apparently cost less. This is because the materials required to make them are less and the processes are less complicated as well. Transmitters that are capable of low range transmission, however, can transmit signals within a very limited range only. These transmitters can mostly be found in remote controlled appliances like TVs and TV sets, CD players, air conditioning units, etc. Some remote controlled toys (I'm referring to short ranged remote controlled ones) don't need long range RT transmissions too. Bluetooth, as I have mentioned earlier, is one type of RT technology too. In order for two people to receive and send files via Bluetooth, they should be not more than ten meters away from each other; this is because the RT (Bluetooth) transmitters installed on mobile phones are low ranged.

LONG RANGED

Normally, long ranged RF transmitters cost a lot more compared to short ranged ones. The reason for this is, much more complicated circuits and processes are used on them. However, we get what we pay for so a lot more is expected from long ranged RF transmitters. These transmitters are mostly used on remote-controlled locking and unlocking for cars, garages, and even gates. Some companies even use satellites as transmitters for an even long ranged output. An example of technologies that make use of satellite-transmitters is the GPS.
