Reverse Phone Lookups Make Finding Anyone A Piece Of Cake

It wasn't that long ago that finding someone using nothing but a phone number was all but impossible. You'd need to hire a private investigator and spend hundreds of dollars just to get the most basic of information. And you would have to wait anywhere from a few days to several weeks to receive your results.

Once the internet became popular you were able to do reverse phone lookups yourself from the comfort of your own home. There were several such "reverse white pages" sites that you could use to find the name and address of the owner of a phone number.

These sites were great for their time but they had significant limitations. They were only good for landline phone numbers. Cell phones and many business lines were not included in their search, and neither were unlisted numbers. This meant there was a huge pool of numbers that they simply couldn't provide any details on. It left users disappointed and frustrated.

The good news is that the new breed of reverse phone lookup services are able to access just about any number in the country. The databases they access include cellular and unlisted phone numbers. Even fax numbers are included.

The not so good news is that these services are not free. You see, cell phones and unlisted numbers are not public information like landline numbers are. So in order to build their databases of information, reverse lookup websites have to pay a fee to access the information. Since they have to pay for the information themselves, they obviously can't give it to you for free.
