The Popular Google Searches Are to Find People

Google is the largest search engine on the Internet, and it is by far the most used by online consumers. If someone has a question, wants to prove a point, is interested in finding out the latest news, needs to determine directions, find their favorite celebrity, and so on, Google is often the first place they conduct their search.

In fact, Google is also the popular choice for those who want to track down people. Whether they want to find out who the owner of a phone number is, discover their address, or find another means of contacting them or learning other information, this tends to be the search engine of their choice.

How can you use Google to find people? There are many ways to search for someone, but first you need to decide if you are attempting to find a specific detail, or if you are looking for anything and everything you can discover. To help you determine how you should go about your investigation, the following is what you should keep in mind:

Google has different search categories that can help you fine tune your results. For instance, you can focus your lookup on finding web, images, maps, news, and video results to name a few. Thus, if you want you can try and track down someone you know by searching for their name in an image search. If you happen to find a picture of them, you can click on it and you will be taken to the corresponding website, and hopefully it will provide you with other useful info about the person.

If you want to conduct a broad web investigation, the following is how you can refine your lookup to obtain the best results:

- Look up the person's full name in quotations which informs the search engine you want results with this exact wording. Note: Include middle name or initials, as well as a maiden name if applicable.

- Search the name in combination with other relevant and distinct details (I.E city, state, high school, career, interests, associations etc.)

- Combine the name with the title of a popular social network, such as MySpace, Facebook, etc., or another popular site that millions of online users create accounts and have profiles.

Searching a phone number on Google can be done by entering the ten digit number into the query box. You might find this number exists within Google's phonebook. However, even if you can't find out who owns a phone number with this search engine, you can always turn to a reverse phone lookup.
